Dual Immersion Mandarin Program
Wedgeworth's Dual Immersion Program is a 50/50 immersion model, where students receive instruction in English half of the day and in Mandarin for the other half of the day. It promotes a bilingual and multicultural environment by providing standards-based instruction in both languages. The program ensures that all students are able to achieve high academic standards as well as become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural citizens. The curriculum scaffolds with traditional Chinese characters and Pinyin to provide success for all students.
Computer Science Immersion program
Wedgeworth's Computer Immersion Science Program is integrated within the classroom instruction. Our methods integrate both programming and game design, while providing students a well-rounded understanding of how to utilize technology to create. Participating classrooms will be using Scratch Jr., Scratch, and Minecraft.
